The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) invoked a curse upon Abu Jahl and his like, but when the Angel of the Mountains came to him, he did not invoke a curse upon them. How is this?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : The Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) invoked a curse upon those who placed the skins of camels on his back, and when the Angel of the Mountains came to him to ask for his permission to crush them with the two mountains, he withdrew?

The Shaykh : There is a difference between the two, because that was specific, and this was general. It is possible that among the people of Makkah there were those who did not harm the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him).
