The Book of Jihad, Expeditions, and Authority-10b

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: Ubayd Allah ibn Mu'adh narrated to us, my father narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us from Amr, meaning ibn Murrah, Abdullah ibn Abi Awfa narrated to me, he said:
The Companions of the Tree (i e. those who swore fealty under the tree) were one thousand and three hundred, and the people of Aslam tribe were one-eighth of the Muhajirs. كَانَ أَصْحَابُ الشَّجَرَةِ أَلْفًا وَثَلَاثَ مِائَةٍ، وَكَانَتْ أَسْلَمُ ثُمْنَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ
Sahih Muslim 1857a
.

The Shaykh : The preserved first version: that they were one thousand and four hundred, or one thousand and five hundred, or somewhere in between. As for this one, it is anomalous and is not considered.
