Can the hadith of the one who left the amount of a drop in his wudu' and was ordered to repeat the wudu' be used as evidence for the obligation of sequence?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : What can be inferred from what the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw, where he performed wudu' and then prayed, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said regarding the amount of a drop due to its delay?

The Shaykh : This is regarding continuity.

The questioner : Is it also regarding sequence?

The Shaykh : No, there is no mention of sequence in it.

The questioner : Because he said, "Repeat the wudu'"?

The Shaykh : Yes, this is continuity, this is continuity. As for sequence here, since it is on the leg and there is nothing after it to be sequenced, meaning if the time was recent, we would say, "Go and wash your leg," and that would be sufficient.

The questioner : I say the condition is that the trace of wetness is present?

The Shaykh : No, absolutely not. The spot is white, not because of the wetness. The whiteness can exist even when the water has dried. Therefore, if a person, for example, washes his hands and they are dark, the trace of water is found, and what the water did not reach remains dark as it was, even if it dries. The important point is that they used this as evidence for continuity.
