Rule: Doubt after completing an act of worship has no effect.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : For this reason, one of the important rules is that doubt after completing an act of worship has no effect, whether you doubted about the intention or about the components of the act of worship; it has no effect unless you are certain. If a man, after finishing his prayer, said, "By Allah, I am doubtful; I do not know if I intended it to be the Dhuhr or the 'Asr, and I am now praying the Dhuhr," we say that specifying the intention is a condition, and I am now doubtful whether I intended this prayer to be the Dhuhr or the 'Asr. We say that this doubt is not considered.

The questioner : Even if he intended to pray the 'Asr.

The Shaykh : No, he is now, after he finished, after he finished, he said, "I did not know now whether I intended the Dhuhr or the 'Asr." We say, it is done; as long as you entered into it as the Dhuhr, it is the Dhuhr. If you doubted afterwards, it has no effect. For this reason, we recited for you a verse on this topic, which is:
"And doubt after the act has no effect *** And so it is when doubts multiply" Doubt in these two matters has no effect, because if one were to cut it off intentionally, cutting off the intention intentionally after the act has no effect, so doubt is even more so. Similarly, if one doubts after the prayer whether he prostrated twice or prostrated once, does it have an effect or not? It has no effect after completion; it has no effect.
