If a man goes to a merchant and says, "I want such-and-such a car," and the merchant agrees on a price with the showroom, then the merchant sells it to him at a higher price on credit.

The questioner : What is the ruling on what some entities are doing today, where one of them goes... and they advise him to buy a car from some people who buy it for cash, as in a forward sale, and then sell it to him on installments from the man who bought it?

The Shaykh : Did you hear what he said?

The questioner : No.

The Shaykh : He goes to a bank merchant or a non-bank merchant and says, "I want such-and-such a car that is in such-and-such a showroom." The merchant agrees with the showroom to buy this car for a price, then the merchant sells it to the buyer for a higher price on credit. This is more wicked than the issue of the buy-back sale, because this is an explicit case of lending him the price with interest. Instead of saying, "Go buy it, and I will give you the money as a loan," he lends the price and increases it due to the deferral. He did this trick.

The questioner : The time, O Shaykh, has ended.
