Discussion of the insight of Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Yes, a person may possess knowledge that others do not attain, such that if a person were to think about it, he would find that no human being could accomplish it. This may be among the karamahs (miracles granted to a righteous person). For this reason, our shaykhs mentioned to us that what Allah granted Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah in terms of transmitted and rational knowledge is considered among the karamahs, because it is beyond the norm. Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) mentioned to his shaykh, Ibn Taymiyyah, in the book "Madaraj al-Salikin", some extraordinary things regarding insight (firasah), to the extent that we have not reached the point of believing in them, yet they are established with him. If a person is granted such matters that go beyond the norm, it is counted as a karamah.

The questioner : Insight?

The Shaykh : Yes? Yes, insight, yes, because it is the insight of the believer.

The questioner : ... .

The Shaykh : And what do we have here?

The questioner : The provisions.

The Shaykh : Who is reading? Al-Sharafi, do you have the provisions? Is it 'Abd? Please, go ahead.

The questioner : In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy, and may Allah send prayers and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his Companions,
The author (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "It is recommended to marry one woman who is religious, a foreigner, a virgin, and fertile, without a mother, and who has a gaze that is generally not apparent repeatedly without seclusion. It is forbidden to explicitly propose to a woman in the waiting period due to death or to one who has been divorced, without being implicit, and both are permissible for one who has divorced her without the three [divorces], such as a revocable divorce."

The Shaykh : Yes.
