How to respond to the hadith: (There is no 'adwa [contagion] and no tiarah [bad omen]) and the hadith: (Flee from the leper as you would flee from a lion)?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : How do we say... regarding the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)
There is no transitive disease, no ill omen لا عدوى ولا طيرة
Sahih Muslim 2222a
.

The Shaykh : The one who said
There is no transitive disease, no ill omen لا عدوى ولا طيرة
Sahih Muslim 2222a
is the one who said
Flee from the leper as you would flee from a lion فِرّ من المجذوم فرارك من الأسد
Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 16:270
. Therefore, it is necessary to reconcile them. The scholars said that the intended meaning of the negated 'adwa [contagion] is the type of contagion that the people of the pre-Islamic age of ignorance (jahiliyyah) believed in, meaning that the disease must necessarily transfer to the healthy person, and this is not the case. As for
Flee from the leper فر من المجذوم
, this is a command to take precautions, to guard against the causes of disease. When the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) said
There is no transitive disease, no ill omen لا عدوى ولا طِيرة
Sahih Muslim 2222a
, a Bedouin man raised a genuine objection, and the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) answered him with a convincing response. He said, "O Messenger of Allah, how can there be no contagion when a scabby camel comes to the camels in the desert, and they look like sand—meaning, because of their beauty and cleanliness—and then they become scabby?" Is this correct, or is it not correct?

The questioner : Correct.

The Shaykh : Okay, how do we say there is no contagion? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said
So who transmitted the disease to the first one? فمن أعدى الأول؟
, meaning, who brought the scab to them? It is well known, who is it?

The questioner : Allah, the Exalted.

The Shaykh : Allah, Mighty and Majestic. So, the one who transfers the contagion to the healthy person is Allah, Mighty and Majestic, and if He wills, He does not transfer it. Is that clear? Okay.
