The Shaykh : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful:
The Shaykh: These two hadiths: the hadith of Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him), and the hadith of Usayd ibn Hudayr, the author mentioned them in the chapter on patience, because they indicate that. As for the hadith of Abdullah ibn Mas'ud: he (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Sahih Muslim 1843 : Al-athrah: means taking a thing exclusively for oneself from those who have a right in it. By this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) meant that rulers will take charge of the Muslims who will monopolize the wealth of the Muslims, spending it as they wish and preventing the Muslims from their right in it. This is a tendency to monopolize and injustice from the rulers to monopolize the wealth in which the Muslims have a right, and to monopolize it for themselves over the Muslims. But: Sahih al-Bukhari 3603 : means that their monopolizing the wealth over you does not prevent you from fulfilling what is obligatory upon you toward them, such as hearing and obeying, not inciting, and not causing disturbance to them. No, be patient, hear and obey, and do not contest with them the authority that Allah has given them.
The Shaykh: : means ask for the right that is yours. Ask Allah for the right that is yours, meaning: ask Allah for the right that is yours. That is: ask Allah to guide them so that they fulfill the right that is upon them toward you. This is from the wisdom of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), for he (peace and blessings be upon him) knew that souls are stingy and that they will not be patient with those who monopolize their rights. But he (peace and blessings be upon him) guided to a matter that may contain good, which is to fulfill what is upon us toward them of hearing and obeying, not contesting authority, and so on, and we ask Allah for what is ours. And if we say: O Allah, guide them so that they give us our right, then in this there is good from two aspects.
The Shaykh: And in it is evidence of the prophethood of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), because he informed of a matter that occurred. He informed of a matter that occurred. Indeed, the caliphs and rulers, since a long time ago, have been monopolizing wealth. You find them eating extravagantly, drinking extravagantly, wearing extravagantly, living extravagantly, and riding extravagantly. And they have monopolized the wealth of the people for their own private interests. But this does not mean that we should withdraw a hand from obedience, or that we should oppose them. Rather, we ask Allah for what is ours and we fulfill the right that is upon us.
The Shaykh: And in it also is: using wisdom in matters that may require inciting. Indeed, there is no doubt that the monopolizing of wealth by the rulers over the subjects necessitates that the subjects rise up and demand their right. But the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded patience with this, and that we fulfill what is obligatory upon us and ask Allah for what is ours.
The Shaykh: As for the hadith of Usayd ibn Hudayr (may Allah be pleased with him), it is like the hadith of Ibn Mas'ud. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) informed: , but he said: Sunan an-Nasa'i 5383Sahih (Darussalam) Meaning: if you are patient, then among the reward of Allah for you for your patience is that He will give you to drink from His Pond, from the Pond of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). O Allah, make us all among those who approach it and drink from it.
The student: Amen.
The Shaykh : This Pond that will be on the Day of Resurrection, in a place and time when people are in the greatest need of it. Because in that place and in that time on the Day of the Hereafter, people will be afflicted with worry, grief, distress, sweat, and heat that will make them in the most extreme need of water. They will approach the Pond of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). It is a great Pond, its length is a month and its width is a month. Two spouts from al-Kawthar, which is a river in Paradise, are poured into it. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was given two spouts, meaning two channels, that pour into it water whiter than milk, sweeter than honey, and more fragrant than musk. And in it are vessels like the stars of the sky. Its vessels are like the stars of the sky in brilliance, beauty, and number. Whoever drinks a single sip from it will never be thirsty after it. O Allah, make us among those who drink from it.
The Shaykh: So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) guided them to be patient even if they find a tendency to monopolize. For their patience with the injustice of the rulers is among the causes of approaching the Pond and drinking from it.
The Shaykh: So in these two hadiths there is an exhortation to patience with what? With the monopolizing by the rulers of the rights of the subjects. But it must be known: " that people, as they are, are given rulers over them " , as they are, they are given rulers over them. If they do evil between themselves and Allah, then Allah will send over them rulers as He said:[Al-An'am 6:129] If the subjects are righteous, Allah will make it easy for them to have righteous rulers. And if it is the opposite, the matter will be the opposite. It is mentioned that a man from the Khawarij came to Ali ibn Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) and said to him: " O Ali! Why have the people rebelled against you, and did not rebel against Abu Bakr and Umar? He said to him: Indeed, the men, the men of Abu Bakr and Umar, were me and those like me, the men of Abu Bakr and Umar. As for me, my men were you and those like you " : meaning you have no good in you, so you became a cause for the people to be subjected to and to disperse against Ali ibn Abi Talib and to rebel against him, until they killed him (may Allah be pleased with him). And it is mentioned that one of the kings of the Banu Umayyah heard the people's speech about him, so he gathered the nobles and dignitaries of the people and spoke to them. And I think it was Abd al-Malik ibn Marwan who spoke to them and said to them: " O people, do you want us to be like Abu Bakr and Umar to you? They said: Yes. He said: If you want that, then be like the men of Abu Bakr and Umar to us " , Allah the Exalted is Wise. He appoints over people those who are according to their deeds. If they do evil, evil is done to them. And if they do good, good is done to them. But with that, there is no doubt that the righteousness of the shepherd is the original, and that if the shepherd is righteous, the subjects are righteous. Because the shepherd has authority that enables him to correct one who has deviated, and to discipline one who has transgressed and been unjust. And success is from Allah.

قالوا : ما تأمرنا ؟ قال : تؤدون الحق الذي عليكمThe Shaykh:
And you ask for the right that is yours
واسألوا الذي لكمThe Shaykh: And in it is evidence of the prophethood of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), because he informed of a matter that occurred.
