Continuation of the explanation of the statement of Imam al-Nawawi (may Allah have mercy on him) regarding what he quoted: "."

The Shaykh : Until he reached sixty years of age, the excuse has been established against him; the proof has been established against him and the excuse has been removed from him, because at sixty years of age, Allah keeps a person alive until he knows of the signs of Allah what he knows, especially if he was raised in an Islamic country. There is no doubt that this leads to the severing of his excuse when he meets Allah (Mighty and Majestic), because he has no excuse. If, for example, his life had been cut short at fifteen or twenty years, he might have had an excuse for not having taken his time and not having reflected upon the signs. But if He kept him alive until sixty years of age, he has no excuse; the proof has been established against him. Although the proof is established against a person from the time he reaches maturity, when he enters the age of accountability, and he is not excused by ignorance. It is obligatory for a person to learn from the Shari'ah of Allah what he needs. For example, if he wants to perform wudu', he must know how to perform wudu'. If he wants to pray, he must know how to pray. If he has money, he must know the amount of the nisab and the amount of the obligatory zakah, and the like. If he wants to fast, he must know how to fast and what are the things that break the fast. If he wants to perform Hajj or 'Umrah, he must know how to perform Hajj and how to perform 'Umrah, and what are the prohibitions of ihram. If he is among the sellers who buy and sell with gold, for example, he must know riba and the types of riba, and what is obligatory in selling gold for gold or selling gold for silver, and so on. If he is among those who sell food, he must know how to sell food, and he must know what is the deception that may occur, and so on.
The important point is that if a person reaches sixty years of age, the complete proof has been established against him and he has no excuse. Every person is according to his own capacity. Every person must learn from the Shari'ah what he needs regarding prayer, zakah, fasting, Hajj, sales, endowments, and others, according to what he needs.
And in this, there is evidence in the hadith. This is evidence that Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) has the proof against His servants. That is because Allah gave them intellects and gave them understanding, and He sent messengers to them and made of the messages what is eternal until the Day of Resurrection, which is the message of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The previous messages are limited, limited. Every prophet is sent only to his people, specifically limited in time. Every messenger comes and abrogates what came before him, if the nation to which the two messengers were sent was one.
To this nation, Allah sent Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and made him the Seal of the Prophets and made His great sign that remains this great Qur'an. The signs of the prophets die with their death and do not remain after their death except as a memory. As for Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), his sign is this great Qur'an until the Day of Resurrection, as the Exalted said:
(50) But they say, "Why are not signs sent down to him from his Lord?" Say, "The signs are only with Allah, and I am only a clear warner." (51) And is it not sufficient for them that We revealed to you the Book which is recited to them? Indeed in that is a mercy and reminder for a people who believe. وقالوا لولا أنزل عليه آيات من ربه قل إنما الآيات عند الله وإنما أنا نذير مبين أولم يكفهم أنا أنزلنا عليك الكتاب يتلى عليهم
[Al-'Ankabut 29:50-51]
The Book is sufficient for every sign for one who reflects upon it, understands it, knows its meanings, benefits from its reports, and takes admonition from its stories. It suffices for everything from the signs. But what makes us not feel this great sign is that we do not read the Qur'an in a way that we reflect upon it and take admonition from what is in it. Many Muslims, if not most Muslims, recite the Book for the sake of seeking blessing and reward only. But what must be is that we read the Qur'an to reflect upon it and to take admonition from it.
[This is] a blessed Book which We have revealed to you كتاب أنزلناه إليك مبارك
[Sad 38:29]
This is the reward.
So that they may reflect upon its verses. ليدبروا آياته
This is the fruit.
and that those of understanding would be reminded. وليتذكر أولوا الألباب
[Sad 38:29]
And success is from Allah.
