The reciter: In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy.
Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may prayers and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his Companions:
The author quoted -may Allah have mercy on him-: " From Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) told us, and he is the truthful and the made truthful:
Verily your creation is on this wise. The constituents of one of you are collected for forty days in his mother's womb in the form of blood, after which it becomes a clot of blood in another period of forty days. Then it becomes a lump of flesh and forty days later Allah sends His angel to it with instructions concerning four things, so the angel writes down his livelihood, his death, his deeds, his fortune and misfortune. By Him, besides Whom there is no god, that one amongst you acts like the people deserving Paradise until between him and Paradise there remains but the distance of a cubit, when suddenly the writing of destiny overcomes him and he begins to act like the denizens of Hell and thus enters Hell, and another one acts in the way of the denizens of Hell, until there remains between him and Hell a distance of a cubit that the writing of destiny overcomes him and then he begins to act like the people of Paradise and enters Paradise.
Sahih Muslim 2643a
, Agreed upon.
And from him (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Hell will be brought forth on that Day (of Resurrection) having seventy thousand bridles, and with every handle will be seventy thousand angels dragging it
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2573Sahih (Darussalam)
, Narrated by Muslim.
And from al-Nu'man ibn Bashir (may Allah be pleased with them both), who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say:
The least of the people of the Fire in punishment on the Day of Resurrection is a man who will have two embers placed in the soles of his feet, and his brain will boil from them. He will not think that anyone is more severely punished than he, and yet he is the least of them in punishment.
