إنَّ أهون أهل النار عذاباً يوم القيامة لرجلٌ يوضع في أخمص قدميه جمرتان يغلي منهما دماغه، ما يرى أن أحدًا أشد منه عذابا وإنه لأهونهم عذاباAnd from Samurah ibn Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Some of them will be seized by the Fire up to their ankles, some up to their knees, some up to their waists, and some up to their collarbones.
منهم من تأخذه النار إلى كعبيه، ومنهم من تأخذه إلى ركبتيه، ومنهم من تأخذه إلى حجزته، ومنهم من تأخذه إلى ترقوتهAnd from 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
On the Day when all mankind will stand before the Lord of the Worlds, some of them will be enveloped in their sweat up to the middle of their ears.
يقومُ الناس لرب العالمين حتى يغيب أحدهم في رَشحه إلى أنصاف أذنيهAnd from Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him), he said:
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) delivered a sermon to us, and I had never heard the like of it before. He said: If you knew what I know, you would laugh little and weep much. So the Companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) covered their faces, and they were sobbing.
