Explanation of the words of Imam al-Nawawi (may Allah have mercy on him) regarding what he quoted: "

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Then the author mentioned the hadith of Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-As (may Allah be pleased with them both), that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Those who act justly will be with God on pulpits of light* at the right hand of the Compassionate One, and both His hands are right. They are those who are just in their jurisdiction, towards their people and what is under their charge. إنَّ المقسطين عند الله على منابر مِن نور يوم القيامة الذين يعدلون في حكمهم وأهليهم وما وُلُوا

and what they are entrusted with وما وَلَوا
This means that the just ones, who are fair in their treatment of their families and those whom Allah has placed under their authority, will be on pulpits of light on the Day of Resurrection, to the right of Allah (Mighty and Majestic). This is evidence of the virtue of justice toward one’s family, and likewise toward one’s children, and likewise in everything that Allah has entrusted to you. Be just so that you may be on pulpits of light to the right of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) on the Day of Resurrection. And Allah grants success.
