The questioner : The Shaykh:

The Shaykh: Yes.

The questioner : For whom is the dispensation taken in matters of shirk, O Shaykh? Will his faith be weak?

The Shaykh : How? How? How?

The questioner : For whom is the dispensation taken in matters of shirk, such as if someone says to him: "Say, 'I am Allah,' or else I will kill you," or "Say, 'I am the Messenger of Allah'"?

The Shaykh : I do not understand you. Who says this?

The questioner : O Shaykh!

The Shaykh : Listen, O Shaykh.

The questioner : That is, a man threatens a person with death, saying: "I am Allah" or "I am your Lord," or else I will kill you. Does he have the right to take the dispensation that Allah and the Messenger commanded?

The Shaykh : That is, he takes the dispensation because he fears for his life?

The questioner : He fears for his life.

The Shaykh : Of course, he has that right.

The questioner : Will his faith be weak at that time?

The Shaykh : No.

The questioner : His faith will not be weak.

The Shaykh: No.

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good.
