What is the best formula for sending blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Is there a specific formula for sending blessings upon the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)?

Answer:
There are several formulas reported from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): “O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad, as You sent blessings upon Ibrahim and upon the family of Ibrahim, for You are Praiseworthy, Majestic. O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad, as You sent blessings upon Ibrahim and upon the family of Ibrahim, for You are Praiseworthy, Majestic.” These are the most comprehensive.
In some of them, one of the blessings and one of the benedictions upon Ibrahim and his family are omitted: “O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad, as You sent blessings upon the family of Ibrahim. O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad, as You sent blessings upon the family of Ibrahim, for You are Praiseworthy, Majestic.”
In some of them: “O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad, as You sent blessings upon Ibrahim, and send blessings upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad, as You sent blessings upon Ibrahim, for You are Praiseworthy, Majestic.”
In some of them: “O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad, as You sent blessings upon the family of Ibrahim, and send blessings upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad, as You sent blessings upon the family of Ibrahim, in the worlds, for You are Praiseworthy, Majestic.”
In some of them: “O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad, Your servant and Your Messenger, as You sent blessings upon Ibrahim, and send blessings upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad, as You sent blessings upon Ibrahim and upon the family of Ibrahim.”
All of it is good if one recites any of these; all of it is fine.
The meaning of the blessing from Allah is His praise of him. The blessing of Allah upon His servant is His praise of him in the highest assembly.
Q: ... Some people come up with blessings of their own?
The Shaykh: The best are the reported ones. If one says, “O Allah, send blessings and peace upon him,” there is no harm. This is concise: “O Allah, send blessings and peace upon him,” “O Allah, send blessings upon Your Messenger,” “O Allah, send blessings upon Your Prophet,” “O Allah, send peace upon him,” “May blessings and peace be upon him,” just as one says when reading a hadith in the books.
