The ruling on a man visiting his family at night without informing them

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The hadith of the three men who visited their families at night while the Prophet was on a military expedition, and each of them found a man with his wife?

Answer:
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade visiting one’s family at night. He commanded that a man should not visit his family at night unless he informs them. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) arrived in the late afternoon, he stopped around the city and then entered it; because he might come upon his family in a state that is not pleasing. And in another hadith:
He should not visit his family in a manner that is secretiveلا يَتَخوَّن أهلَه
It is the Sunnah for the believer not to arrive at night unless he has informed them, or else he should wait until morning.
Q: Is this established from the three Companions?
The Shaykh: I do not know, I do not recall it.
