The ruling on what is called "the Parents' Supper" among the people of Najd

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Among the people of Najd, "the Parents' Supper," is there anything wrong with it?

Answer:
It is charity in Ramadan that they call a supper, and there is nothing wrong with it. Charity in Ramadan is multiplied, so if one gives charity in Ramadan and singles it out for additional charity, or in the last ten days, he has its reward, whether it is called the Parents' Supper, the Relatives' Supper, the Neighbors' Supper, or the Poor's Supper.
Q: May Allah reward you. Do they single out the twenty-seventh night?
The Shaykh: This is the Night of Decree that is hoped for; that is the intention.
Q: Is there nothing wrong with it?
The Shaykh: No, if he singles it out for additional expenditure, it does not contradict the ruling, because it is a night that is better than a thousand months. The deed in it is like the deed in a thousand months, or even better than a thousand months.
