The Ruling on What Is Called the Parents' Supper
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
In Ramadan, some people do what is called: the Parents' Supper; they slaughter some sheep and offer it to the poor and the needy?
It is charity, there is nothing wrong with it, there is no blame on him. But it is charity in Ramadan, when Ramadan comes, good deeds are multiplied in it. So if he slaughters and distributes that to the poor, on his own behalf, or on behalf of his family, or on behalf of their gathering; to take advantage of the virtue of Ramadan or the ten days of Dhul Hijjah; there is nothing wrong with it.
