Ruling on Kissing the Forehead of a Father, a Scholar, or an Elder

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Is it permissible to kiss the forehead of a father, a scholar, or an elderly man, or someone else? And is there a hadith regarding this?

Answer:
There is no harm in kissing the head of an elder, a father, or a mother. It is permissible. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to kiss Fatimah when she came to him; he would stand up for her and kiss her, and she would stand up for him and kiss him. When al- Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) arrived and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had passed away and been covered, he uncovered his face and kissed him between his eyes, saying: "I sacrifice my father and mother for you! You were pleasant in life and in death. O Allah, send blessings and peace upon him." If it is a mahram (a relative one may not marry), or a man with a man, or a woman with a woman, or a mahram kissing his mother or sister, there is no harm.
