The ruling on one who slept next to her child and he died

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question: I have a child who is five months old. His mother took him with her at night, and he passed away. It is not known what the cause was. It is possible that he died because of his mother; for example, when she woke up from sleep, he was under her armpits while she was sleeping.

Answer: If she did not know about it, then she owes nothing; that is, if she did not know the causes of his death, then she owes nothing. However, if she slept on him, or crushed him with her breast, or with her chest, or with a heavy cover, then she owes the blood money and the expiation. The blood money is upon the 'aqilah (the male relatives of the deceased), and the expiation is upon her.
