Some Hadith Books That Are Recommended

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
What are the best hadith books that you recommend reviewing, O Shaykh, especially in the mosque?

Answer:
As for memorization and for the student of knowledge: *Bulugh al-Maram* is one of the best books; because it is concise, beneficial, and well-organized. *Umdat al-Hadith* is also a good book by the Shaykh, Abdul Ghani al-Maqdisi. *Al-Muntaqa* is broader than both of them—if it is possible to memorize or review it—and what is mentioned in it is also important; because it is a comprehensive book by Abu al-Barakat Majd al-Din Abdul Salam ibn Taymiyyah (may Allah have mercy on him).
Likewise, among the beneficial books are *Al-Arba'un al-Nawawiyyah* (The Forty Hadiths of Nawawi), which Ibn Rajab completed. They are forty-two hadiths by al-Nawawi; Ibn Rajab (may Allah have mercy on him) completed them with eight hadiths, making them fifty. They are among the concise and comprehensive words, and they are very beneficial; so we advise memorizing them because they are among the concise and comprehensive words, and there is an urgent need to memorize them.
