Explanation of the second type of types of shirk, which is shirk al-uluhiyyah

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : The second shirk, after the first shirk which is shirk al-rububiyyah, is shirk al-uluhiyyah. It is sometimes referred to as shirk of worship. Shirk of worship, or shirk al-uluhiyyah, is that you believe, while believing that Allah has no partner in His essence, that you worship other than Him with any of the acts of worship by which people worship Allah. So any Muslim who testifies with his tongue, "There is no god but Allah," and believes in his heart that there is no Lord or Creator with Allah, but at the same time worships other than Allah in any way, has fallen into shirk al-uluhiyyah, the second shirk. This contradicts pure tawhid, because pure tawhid is not pure unless its owner is free from these three types of shirk: shirk al-rububiyyah, shirk al-uluhiyyah or shirk of worship, and the third shirk, shirk of attributes. However, I do not see it appropriate now to move on to explaining shirk of attributes before clarifying the statement somewhat regarding the second shirk, which is shirk of worship or shirk al-uluhiyyah. Shirk al-uluhiyyah is what is intended to be negated regarding other than Allah (Mighty and Majestic) in the word of sincerity, in the noble and blessed word, "La ilaha illa Allah" (There is no god but Allah).
