Faith in all the prophets is obligatory

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
You say: The Muslim believes in all of Allah’s messengers and does not distinguish between them, but in the testimony by which a person enters Islam, the Muslim says: I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. Is there not a rejection of the other prophets in that?

Answer:
This is what is said first when a person becomes a Muslim, because this is the final messenger. He was commanded to believe in him before speaking about the others, because he is the messenger sent to him in his time. So he must submit to this testimony: the testimony that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. Then, after that, he learns what concerns all the messengers so that he believes in them, just as he learns about the angels, the books, Paradise, and the Fire after that.
So the testimony that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah is necessary along with the testimony that there is no god but Allah in order to rule that he is a Muslim. Then, after that, he learns the remaining matters of the religion. And so it was in the time of 'Isa: he learned about 'Isa and what he brought, and then after that he learned about the past prophets so that he would believe in them. And so it was in the time of Musa, and so it was in the time of those before him. He learns about the messenger sent to him in his time and believes in him along with the oneness of Allah, then he believes in the rest, meaning the rest of the messengers, and the rest of what he is commanded to believe in, such as Paradise, the Fire, the angels, and the books. This is after his belief in the messenger of his time (the one sent to him).
And Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is the final messenger (he is the Sealed Prophet), so it is obligatory for the community in his time and after his time to believe in him first along with the oneness of Allah. Then, after their belief in him, they believe in the messengers before him; because he is the one who informed about them. It is not possible to believe in the past ones except by believing in the present one who conveyed their message. He is the one who conveyed their message and informed about the past messengers. So when the believer believes in him at that time, he believes in the past ones.
