The Ruling on Taking an Omen from a Dwelling

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Your Eminence, Shaykh Abdul Aziz ibn Abdullah ibn Baz. Peace be upon you, and Allah’s mercy and blessings.
There is a woman from the southern region who has seven sons and daughters. When she moved into her new house in the south, one of her children died, and one of her daughters followed him in death. After their deaths, she dreamed—saw in a dream—that if she remained in this house, all her children would die.
I ask for your Eminence’s guidance, knowing that she still has five sons and daughters. Peace be upon you, and Allah’s mercy and blessings.

Answer:
And upon you be peace, and Allah’s mercy and blessings, after that:
If the situation is as you described, she has a choice. If she wishes, she can stay in this house, and if she wishes, she can move to another house; based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
Misfortune is in three things: in the house, in the woman, and in the mount.الشؤم في ثلاثة: في البيت، والمرأة، والدابة
May Allah guide them all, and peace be upon you, and Allah’s mercy and blessings.
