Combining Two Hadiths on Tatayyur

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
How do we combine his statement (peace and blessings be upon him):
no omen, no Hamahلا طيرة ولا هامة
Sunan Ibn Majah 3539
, and his statement:
If there is tatayyur (taking an omen as a bad sign), it is in the house, the woman, and the horseإن كانت الطيرة ففي البيت والمرأة والفرس
? Please inform us, may Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
Tatayyur (taking an omen as a bad sign) is of two types. The first is a type of shirk (associating partners with Allah); it is taking an ill omen from things seen or heard. This is called tatayyur, and it is shirk, and it is not permissible. The second is an exception, and this is not of the prohibited tatayyur. For this reason, in the authentic hadith:
The ill omen is in three things: in the woman, in the house, and in the animalالشؤم في ثلاث: في المرأة، وفي الدار، وفي الدابة
This is the exception, and it is not of the prohibited tatayyur. Because some people say that some women or animals have ill omen and evil in them by the permission of Allah, and it is a destined evil. So if he leaves the house that did not suit him, or divorces the wife that did not suit him, or the animal that did not suit him, there is no harm. So this is not tatayyur.
