The Ruling on Greeting and Returning It in the Ablution Areas

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The questioner, brother S. A. from Riyadh, says in his question: If I enter a place where people are performing wudu in the ablution areas attached to the mosque and adjacent to the bathrooms, should I greet them and should they return my greeting, or not? Please issue a ruling for us. May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
It is prescribed for you to greet them, and it is obligatory for them to return the greeting if the ablution areas are outside the bathrooms, as you mentioned in the question, due to the generality of the evidence from the Book and the Sunnah. And success is from Allah.
