Is it permissible to wash the hands, rinse the mouth, sniff water into the nose, wash the face and hands, wipe the head, and wash the feet—that is, to perform wudu'—inside the bathroom?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : The questioner says: Is it permissible to wash the hands, rinse the mouth, sniff water into the nose, wash the face and hands, wipe the head, and wash the feet—that is, to perform wudu'—inside the bathroom?

The Shaykh : Yes, it is valid for a person to perform wudu' inside the bathroom, and this happens often. The washing area where hands are washed may be inside the bathroom, and a person may perform wudu' inside the bathroom without any blame on him.
However, if the bathroom is a mosque bathroom, and people are waiting for it to be free, and there is a place for wudu' in the mosque, then we say: Do not perform wudu' inside the bathroom, because people need it, and you have no right to reserve it for yourself. Rather, once you have cleaned yourself after relieving yourself, go out and perform wudu' in the designated wudu' area.
