The Shaykh: And the remaining hadiths contain evidence that a person should, when he eats, praise Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) and say: "Praise be to Allah who fed me without any power or strength from me", for had Allah not made this food easy for you, it would not have come to you. As Allah the Exalted said: [Al-Waqi'ah 56:63-67] So, had Allah not made food easy for a person from the time he plants, then it grows, then he harvests, then it is brought to him, then it is ground, then it is kneaded, then it is cooked, and then Allah makes eating it easy for him, it would not have been made easy for him. For this reason, some scholars said: Food does not reach a person and be served to him unless about a hundred blessings from Allah have preceded it for this food. But most of the time we are heedless of this. We ask Allah to feed us and you with lawful food and to grant us the ability to be grateful for His blessings, for He is capable of all things.
