All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his Companions.
He (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "The chapter on dhikr in the morning and evening. From Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: Narrated by Muslim. And from him (may Allah be pleased with him), he said: Narrated by Muslim. And from him (may Allah be pleased with him), from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): Riyad as-Salihin 1453 Narrated by Abu Dawud and al-Tirmidhi, who said: 'A good hadith'."

These are three hadiths mentioned by al-Nawawi (may Allah have mercy on him) in his book *Riyad al-Salihin*, in the chapter on dhikr in the morning and evening. The first is the virtue of a person saying "Subhan Allahi wa bihamdih" (Glory be to Allah and praise is His) one hundred times. If a person says it one hundred times in the morning and one hundred times in the evening, no one will come on the Day of Resurrection with anything better than what he brought, except one who did more than what he did. This dhikr, "Subhan Allahi wa bihamdih," means that you declare Allah (Mighty and Majestic) free from everything that is unworthy of His majesty (Glorified and Exalted is He), and you praise Him, and indeed you describe Him with attributes of perfection, and that is by saying "wa bihamdih" (and praise is His). A person should say "Subhan Allahi wa bihamdih" one hundred times when he wakes up in the morning, and say "Subhan Allahi wa bihamdih" one hundred times when he goes to bed in the evening, so that he may attain this virtue mentioned by the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family). Among these is that a person says when he wakes up in the morning and when he goes to bed in the evening: "I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He created." This is a turning to Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) and taking hold of Him for protection from the evil of what He created. If you say it three times in the morning and evening, nothing will harm you. For this reason, a man complained to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about what he suffered from a scorpion sting, and he said:Sunan Abi Dawud 3898Sahih (Al-Albani) And among the morning and evening dhikr is saying: "O Allah, by You we have entered the morning, and by You we have entered the evening, and by You we live, and by You we die, and to You is the resurrection" in the morning, and in the evening: "O Allah, by You we have entered the evening, and by You we have entered the morning, and by You we die, and by You we live, and to You is the final return." A person should maintain these dhikr narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) so that he may be among those who remember Allah much, both men and women. And success is from Allah.

A man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "O Messenger of Allah, what I suffered from a scorpion that stung me last night!" He said: "If only you had said when you went to bed: 'I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He created,' it would not have harmed you."
The Prophet (ﷺ) used to say in the morning: "Allahumma bika asbahna, wa bika amsaina, wa bika nahya, wa bika namutu, wa ilaikan-nushur (O Allah! With Your Power we have come to the morning, with Your Power we come to the evening, with Your Power we live, and we die, and to You will we return)." In the evening he would say: "Allahumma bika amsaina, wa bika nahya, wa bika namutu, wa ilaikan-nushur (O Allah! With Your Power, we have come to the evening, by You do we live, by You do we die, and to You is the return)."
