Explanation of the Book of Marriage-13
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Then the author said: "And Jadamah bint Wahab (may Allah be pleased with her) said: Mishkat al-Masabih 3189 Muslim narrated it":
This hadith contains great principles, if Allah wills, which will become clear later.
She says::
"Anas" is the original form of the word "nas" (people), but the hamza was dropped from "nas" due to frequent usage, so they came to say "al-nas" (the people), and its original form is "al-anas," but the hamza was dropped, as I told you, for the sake of ease.
And her statement: did not specify whether they were in the mosque or outside the mosque. Does the benefit of the hadith depend on this or not?
It does not depend on it.
The phrase: is a description of whom?
The student: Of the Messenger.
The Shaykh : "I was present with the Messenger of Allah" is the object of the verb.
Sahih Muslim 1442a: "Ham" (intention) is the speech of the heart, and it is like his saying (peace and blessings be upon him): Sahih al-Bukhari 2420 up to his saying: Sunan Ibn Majah 791Sahih (Darussalam), so it is the speech of the heart, meaning he (peace and blessings be upon him) spoke to himself about prohibiting ghayl, that is, to order people to refrain from it.
And ghayl is: intercourse with a pregnant woman, according to one of the opinions. The second opinion is: breastfeeding while pregnant.
Meaning that a man has intercourse with his wife while she is breastfeeding, or that a woman breastfeeds while she is pregnant.
Meaning there are two opinions:
The first opinion: intercourse with a breastfeeding woman. The second opinion: breastfeeding while pregnant, meaning that a woman breastfeeds her child, that is, her baby, while she is pregnant.
So according to the first opinion: it is a prohibition of the cause, because if a man has intercourse with his wife while she is breastfeeding, she might become pregnant and then breastfeed the child while pregnant.
And according to the second opinion: it is a prohibition of the goal, which is that a woman breastfeeds while pregnant, because they say: that a woman breastfeeding her child while pregnant harms the child.
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Sahih Muslim 1442b:
The Romans: they are a known nation living north of the Arabian Peninsula.
And the Persians: a known nation also, living east of the Arabian Peninsula.
The Persians are Majus, their religion is Mazdakism, worshippers of fire, and the Romans' religion is Christianity, and all of them at that time were all disbelievers.
So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) looked at their condition:Sahih Muslim 1442b: meaning he left off the prohibition of ghayl.
Why?
Because the Romans and the Persians are human beings, and human natures do not differ by difference of religion, because they are a requirement of nature, but there is no doubt that faith may increase the sound, good instincts, it may strengthen them, but in the original state, human natures are equal in this between the Muslim and the disbeliever, and this will lead us to say:
That His saying (Glorified and Exalted is He): does not mean the women of the believers, it means the women of human beings, and that is because a woman, whether she is a disbeliever or a Muslim, there is no difference between them regarding the look, as is well known.
Sahih Muslim 1442b: 'Azl is when a man has intercourse with his wife and approaches ejaculation, he withdraws in order for the ejaculation to be outside so that she does not become pregnant, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: .
Wa'ad is: burying a slave girl while she is alive, and they used to do this in the pre-Islamic age of ignorance, a man would bury his daughter while she was alive, until some of them would dig a hole for her, and if something of the soil touched his beard, he would brush the soil off his beard, and he, may Allah protect us from that, would plunge her in while she was alive, this is a group of the Arabs.
Another group kills their children, both males and females.
As for the first group that buries daughters, they fear disgrace, because they are mocked for having daughters, for this reason they made the daughters for Allah and made the sons for themselves.
And as for the second group, they only kill the children either out of fear of poverty or out of poverty, as in the Qur'an:, [Al-Isra 17:31], and look at the eloquence in the Qur'an when it said: [Al-An'am 6:151], it said: [Al-An'am 6:151], so it started with the provision of the fathers because they kill them out of destitution, poverty is present.
And when it said:, it said: [Al-Isra 17:31], because you are now rich but you fear poverty, so the provision of these children is upon Allah.
Fine, and his saying: means that which is not apparent, because wa'ad is of two types:
Apparent wa'ad, which is that a person buries his daughter while she is alive.
And hidden wa'ad, which is that one tries to prevent pregnancy.
But is this hidden wa'ad forbidden or not forbidden?
It will come, if Allah wills, in the explanation of the benefits of this hadith.
I was with God’s Messenger along with some people when he was saying, “I intended to prohibit suckling during pregnancy* but I considered the Greeks and the Persians and saw that they suckled their children during pregnancy without any injury being caused to their children thereby.” Then they asked him about withdrawing the penis and God’s Messenger replied, “That is the secret burying alive”
This hadith contains great principles, if Allah wills, which will become clear later.

I intended to prohibit cohabitation with a suckling woman
لقد هممت أن أنهى عن الغيلةNo doubt, I intended to order somebody to pronounce the Iqama of the (compulsory congregational) prayer
لقد هممت أن آمر بالصلاة فتقامand go to people who do not attend the prayer, and burn their houses down around them
ثم أنطلق إلى قوم لا يشهدون الصلاة فأحرق عليهم بيوتهم بالنارAnd ghayl is: intercourse with a pregnant woman, according to one of the opinions. The second opinion is: breastfeeding while pregnant.
