Driving snakes out of the house with kind words is not sorcery

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: A man came to me and said: There is a snake in my house, and he is able to drive it out. In fact, he went to one of the rooms and knocked on its wall with his stick, and a large snake came out to him. He also drove out several snakes from my neighbor's house. I do not know if this is a type of sorcery, or if it is a special quality that Allah grants to some of His servants?

A: I do not know of anything regarding this. If he has tried driving out the snakes because he speaks with a supplication in which he calls upon Allah and asks Allah to drive them out, or if he performs a clear, apparent action that contains no suspicion, which he does with the snakes to drive them out of the house or the farm or the like, then there is no blame on him.
However, if he is accused of sorcery or magic, or of obeying the jinn and using them, then this is prohibited, and he should not be sought for help in these matters. But if his work is prominent and apparent, and he calls upon Allah in their presence, saying: "O Allah, drive them out, O Allah, protect us from their evil"... and so on, words from which it is understood that there is no objection in his speech, and people do not see from him anything that contradicts this, then there is nothing wrong with it. This is because Allah may assist some people in such matters through their supplication to Him, so there is no objection to it, except if something is seen from him that indicates suspicion, in which case it is prohibited.
