Ruling on the prayer of one who prays while blood is flowing from his foot

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: One day I was playing ball, and it happened that I injured my leg with a painful wound. The time for prayer came, so I performed the complete ablution, except that I did not wash the place of the wound. I was praying while the blood was flowing, and I remained in this state for five days. Is my prayer valid given the excuse, or is it not valid? Please inform us, may Allah reward you.

A: The obligatory thing in this case is that you place something large over the wound to hold back the blood, meaning: a cloth that you wrap around it or something similar that stops the blood and halts it, so that you wipe over this bandage. If that is not feasible, then perform dry ablution with clean earth for that after the ablution, and that is sufficient. However, as long as it is wrapped in a bandage or cast, you wipe over it.
This is the obligatory thing; because it is the path prescribed by the Shari'ah, and it suffices in place of dry ablution with clean earth. If you did not do that, you must make up the prayers for the five days that you performed without wiping or dry ablution with clean earth, and this is the most cautious course for you. Because you were negligent in this matter, and it is a clear matter, in that you did not bind the wound so that wiping could be done over it, and you did not perform dry ablution with clean earth.
And success is from Allah.
