Commentary on Tafsir al-Jalalayn: (( There is no ghol in it )) that which steals their minds (( nor do they become intoxicated from it )) with the zay open and with kasrah

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
(46) White and delicious to the drinkers; (47) No bad effect is there in it, nor from it will they be intoxicated. بيضاء لذة للشاربين لا فيها غول ولا هم عنها ينزفون
[As-Saffat 37:46-47]
with the zay open and with kasrah, from the intoxication of the drinker and being made intoxicated, meaning they become intoxicated, unlike the wine of this world. He said:
No bad effect is there in it لا فيها غول
[As-Saffat 37:47]
and the negation is in this cup, and the intended meaning is the wine that is in it - Ya Shaker, move forward, may Allah reward you with good, move forward, may Allah bless you ...- meaning this cup has no ghol, and ghol was raised in the nominative case although la is a negative particle, because it is required for its operation to be like the operation of inna in the construction, meaning that something like the khabar must precede it; if it precedes, the nominative case is obligatory. And his saying:
ghol غول
meaning that by which they are stolen, the author interpreted ghol as that which affects the mind. Then he said:
nor do they become intoxicated from it ولا هم عنه ينزفون
The stronger opinion regarding this verse is that the intended meaning of ghol is that which steals their bodies, such as a headache in the head and pain in the stomach, unlike the wine of this world, in which there is a headache and pain in the stomach, as Ibn Kathir and others mentioned.
As for the intoxication, he said:
nor from it will they be intoxicated. ولا هم عنها ينزفون
[As-Saffat 37:47]
the author says: " they become intoxicated " from the intoxication of the drinker and being made intoxicated, if one becomes intoxicated, unlike the wine of this world, in which a person becomes intoxicated and his mind is removed. As for in the Hereafter, it is free from this. Therefore, what Allah described in His saying:
and their Lord will give them a purifying drink. وسقاهم ربهم شرابا طهورا
[Al-Insan 76:21]
meaning purified from everything that occurs from the wine of this world, applies to it.
