Ruling on one who forgets to wash his face and repeats it after washing his hands
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: W. M. B. from Riyadh says in his question: While I was performing wudu for prayer, I forgot to wash my face and washed my hands. Then I remembered, so I washed my face, then my hands, and then I completed the wudu. Is there anything required of me in this? And what, O Shaykh, if a person forgets to wash his face and does not remember until after he has finished the wudu? Please give us a ruling, may Allah reward you with good.
A: There is nothing required of you in this; because you went back and washed your face, then your hands, and then completed the wudu. As for the one who left his face unwashed and did not remember until after finishing the wudu, he must repeat the wudu because of the obligation of sequence and continuity. And success is from Allah.
