Q: A question from: N. A. M. - from Riyadh, she says: Is it permissible for a woman to dye the hair on her head black?
A: It is not permissible for a woman or anyone else to change gray hair with black dye; because of the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): Muslim narrated it in his Sahih.
As for changing it with something other than black, there is nothing wrong with it, or with henna and katam mixed together, there is nothing wrong with it if the color comes out not black, but between black and red.
