Which is more correct for the one praying: joining the hands or letting them hang down during standing?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: There is a difference of opinion among the scholars regarding which is more correct, joining the hands or letting them hang down, according to the Book and the Sunnah?

A: What is established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in the hadith of Wail ibn Hujr and Sahl ibn Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with them both) is joining the hands, which is placing the right hand over the left hand during standing, and the best is to place them on the chest. And whoever lets them hang down, his prayer is valid, but he has left what is best. It is not befitting for brothers to dispute over this; rather, they should discuss it with wisdom and good manner in order to seek benefit.
And we have written a brief article on this issue.
