Is reaching puberty the limit for obligating a child to pray?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: A question from: A. M. from Riyadh, asking: Is reaching puberty considered the limit after which a child is obligated to perform what he missed of prayer, such as due to sleep or other reasons?

A: When a boy or girl reaches puberty, prayer, fasting Ramadan, and Hajj and 'Umrah (with the ability to afford them) become obligatory upon them, and they sin by leaving them off or by committing sins; due to the generality of the scriptural evidence.
The obligation is established by completing fifteen years of age, or by the discharge of semen with desire in sleep or wakefulness, or by the growth of coarse hair around the private parts, and the girl is added to by a fourth matter, which is menstruation. As long as the boy or girl has not experienced any of these matters, they are not obligated, but they are ordered to pray at seven, and struck for it at ten, and ordered to fast Ramadan, and encouraged to do all good; such as reading the Qur'an, voluntary prayer, Hajj and 'Umrah, and increasing in tasbih, tahlil, takbir, and tahmid, and they are prevented from all sins; due to the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
Order your children to pray at the age of seven, hit them for it at the age of ten, and separate them in their beds.مروا أولادكم بالصلاة لسبع، واضربوهم عليها لعشر، وفرقوا بينهم في المضاجع
Sunan ad-Daraqutni 3:5
And because he (peace and blessings be upon him) disapproved of al-Hasan ibn 'Ali (may Allah be pleased with them both) eating from the dates of charity, and said to him:
Did you not know that charity is not lawful for us?أما علمت أنه لا تحل لنا الصدقة
And he ordered him to throw away the date he had taken from it, and his age when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away was seven years and months.
