Is it better for the imam to complete the recitation of the Qur'an in the tarawih prayer?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: Is it better for the imam to complete the recitation of the Qur'an in the tarawih prayer?

A: The matter is broad in this regard, and I do not know of any evidence indicating that it is better to complete the recitation, except that some scholars said: it is recommended to let them hear the entire Qur'an so that the congregation hears the whole of the Qur'an.
However, this is not based on clear evidence. The important thing is that he be humble in his recitation, be at ease, recite with measured pace, and benefit the people, even if he does not complete the recitation, or if he reads only half of the Qur'an, or two-thirds of the Qur'an. It is not the important thing to complete the recitation; rather, the important thing is that he benefits the people in his prayer, in his humility, and in his recitation, so that they benefit and are at ease. If it is easy for him to complete the recitation, praise be to Allah. If it is not easy, what he has done is sufficient for him, even if some remains, because his concern for the people and his eagerness for their humility and their benefit are more important than his completing the recitation. If he completes it with them without hardship and lets them hear the whole Qur'an, that is good.
