A discussion regarding the false accusation of a slave.

The Shaykh : ... a slave, then there is no fixed punishment for falsely accusing him because he is not a free person. However, if the one making the accusation is a slave, it has been mentioned previously that the scholars differed on this, and that the majority of the scholars hold that he is not given the full fixed punishment of eighty lashes, but rather forty lashes, and that some of the scholars said that he is given the full fixed punishment of eighty lashes due to the generality of the verse.
