A Benefit Regarding Not Distinguishing Between the Speech of Allah the Exalted and the Speech of His Messenger

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : But here, I must also draw your attention to a matter, which is: when we want to rule on whether something is doctrinal or practical disbelief, I hinted earlier that it is necessary to establish the argument, and establishing the argument is not possible except by conveying the Shari'ah of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) to the people. As you know, the Shari'ah is either the Qur'an or the Prophetic hadith. Then, as for the Qur'an or the Prophetic hadith, in terms of conduct, as you know, they differ; the establishment of the hadith differs from the establishment of the Qur'an. Most hadiths came through the route of ahad reports, as you know this from the science of hadith principles, whereas the Noble Qur'an is entirely mutawatir. There remains another point: practically, it is necessary to pair the Sunnah with the Qur'an and not distinguish between them in practice. We do not distinguish between Allah and His Messenger; we do not distinguish between the speech of Allah in His Book and the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in his hadith. Acting upon what is obligatory—perhaps you share with us the certainty of this knowledge.
