The author of al-Iqna' said: "Or denying the angels"

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : The angels were not mentioned, but if one denies the angels, he is a disbeliever. Or if he denies the jinn, he is also a disbeliever.

The questioner : A disbeliever.

The Shaykh : He is a disbeliever because he is denying the Qur'an. As for the one who denies the jinn entering humans, he is misguided and not a disbeliever. He is misguided because he said something that reality denies and that is denied by the established reports from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and others. There is the story of the boy whose mother brought him to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while he was being possessed. The Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) said to the jinn inside him:
Get out, enemy of Allah, for I am the Messenger of Allah اخرج عدو الله فإني رسول الله
So the jinn came out of this boy, and the hadith is authentic. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) returned from his expedition, and he had told his mother, "Inform me about his condition," when he returned he found that his mother had prepared a sheep, fat, and dried cheese for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and she informed him that her son had been cured and that jinn had not returned to him. The many reports from the imams of the Muslims and the scholars of the Muslims regarding this are not denied. And Shaykh al-Islam (may Allah have mercy on him) would be brought a possessed person, and he would strike him and address the jinn and make a covenant with it, and it would come out and not return. A possessed man was brought to him, as his student Ibn al-Qayyim related about him. A possessed man was brought to him and thrown before him, so he spoke to the female jinn that had possessed him and said to her, "Come out." She said, "I love him." He said, "He does not love you." Yes, meaning, and neither... and then she said, "I want to perform Hajj with him." Did you see how it is? After she said she would perform Hajj with him, she wanted to perform Hajj and take him to Makkah. He said, "He does not love to perform Hajj with you." Then he began to admonish her, but she refused to come out, so he began to strike the man on his neck until the hand of Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah became weary. She came out, but she said, "I am coming out as a favor to the Shaykh." He said, "No, come out in obedience to Allah and His Messenger." Look, Allah is the Greatest. Denying the self, as people say, come out in obedience to Allah and His Messenger. Otherwise, if it were like us, he would say, "Where is the female jinn coming out as a favor to me?" Yes, he would be pleased with that, saying, "But you come out... as a favor to me, go ahead." But he said, "No, come out in obedience to Allah and His Messenger." So she came out. When the man regained consciousness, he said, "What brought me to the presence of the Shaykh?" He was amazed. What did he have to do with the gathering of Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah? He was told, "How did you not feel this striking that he was striking you?" He did not feel it. He said, "No, by Allah, I did not feel it." Look how this is: the striking falls on the possessed person, but the one possessed does not feel it. This matter is not denied by anyone ever, because denying what is known by the senses is stubbornness and misguidance. Yes, and some people have denied this matter, and I think one of those who denied it was Shaykh Muhammad Rashid Rida (may Allah have mercy on him), and this is one of his slips. I think, I do not assert it, but it passed by me distantly. And some of the contemporaries also denied it, but it was said to me that the Shaykh.
