Does the traveler pray the voluntary prayer in the car, and is facing the qiblah waived for him?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : If the traveler prays a voluntary prayer...

The Shaykh : The obligatory prayer is not permissible in the car unless the person fulfills all the conditions.

The questioner : No, for the voluntary prayer, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) [prayed] in a direction other than the qiblah.

The Shaykh : The voluntary prayer, meaning?

The questioner : Yes, it is permissible for him to pray in a direction other than the qiblah. So now, the boy during tawaf is not required to face it either.

The Shaykh : The wisdom behind waiving facing the qiblah for the traveler is that facing the qiblah hinders him from traveling, and the voluntary prayer is not like the obligatory prayer, which is limited to five prayers; whatever more a person prays is good. So, in order not to prevent him from praying more, the Shari'ah granted him a dispensation to leave off facing the qiblah. For this reason, he must face the direction of his travel. If he faces a direction other than the direction of travel, his prayer is invalid, unless he faces the qiblah. For example, if we assume that a person's direction of travel is north and the qiblah is to the left, and he deviates from the direction of travel to the east, his prayer is invalid because he left off facing the qiblah; his prayer is invalid. They said it is not invalid because the qiblah is the primary direction.

The questioner : The voluntary prayer, O Shaykh?

The Shaykh : The voluntary prayer, yes. The obligatory prayer is never valid on a mount except out of dire necessity.

The questioner : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may prayers and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his Companions. As for what follows:
The author (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "And the one who is able is the one for whom riding is possible and who finds sufficient provisions and a suitable mount for his like, after fulfilling the obligatory duties, the prescribed expenses, and the basic needs. If he is prevented by old age or an illness that is not expected to end, he is obligated to appoint someone to perform Hajj and 'Umrah on his behalf from where it became obligatory, and this suffices for him. And if he recovers after entering the state of ihram. And it is a condition for its obligation upon a woman that her mahram is present, who is her husband or one who is permanently forbidden to her by lineage or a permissible cause. And if the one for whom it was obligatory dies, they [the scholars] agreed that it is paid from his estate."
