"And the people of Yemen have Yalamlam, the people of Najd have Qarn, and the people of the East have Dhat 'Irq"

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :"And the people of Yemen have Yalamlam" Yalamlam is the miqat for the people of Yemen. It is said that Yalamlam is a place, and it is said that it is a mountain; that is, a place called Yalamlam, or a mountain called Yalamlam, and the miqat is at this mountain. In any case, it is well known.
"And the people of Najd have Qarn al-Manazil" The author says Qarn, and it is also called Qarn al-Manazil. It is said that it is called Qarn al-Tha'aleb, but the correct view is that Qarn al-Tha'aleb is not Qarn al-Manazil. "And the people of the East have Dhat 'Irq" This place is called Dhat 'Irq because it has an 'irq, which is a small mountain. These three—Yalamlam, Qarn al-Manazil, and Dhat 'Irq—are close to one another; they are about two days' journey from Makkah. Dhat 'Irq is farther than Qarn al-Manazil. Are these names still in use for these miqats today? The answer is no. Dhul Hulayfah is now called Abiyar 'Ali, al-Juhfah has been replaced by Rabigh, Yalamlam is now called al-Sa'diyyah, Qarn al-Manazil is called al-Sayl, and Dhat 'Irq is called al-Dhahibah. However, the places, praise be to Allah, have remained known and evident to the Muslims and have not changed.
