The reciter: Mu'alla ibn Asad narrated to us, and Wahib narrated to us from Abdullah ibn Tawus from his father from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both):
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) designated Dhul-Hulayfah for the people of Madinah, al-Juhfah for the people of the Levant, Qarn al-Manazil for the people of Najd, and Yalamlam for the people of Yemen. These are for their people and for every one who comes to them from elsewhere among those who intend Hajj or 'Umrah. As for whoever is closer than that, he enters the state of ihram from where he begins, even the people of Makkah from Makkah.
Sunan ad-Darimi 5:8.
