For those who swear not to have sexual relations with their wives is a waiting time of four monthsلِلَّذِينَ يُؤْلُونَ مِنْ نِسَائِهِمْ تَرَبُّصُ أَرْبَعَةِ أَشْهُرٍ
[Surat al-Baqarah: 226]. Four months or less is permissible if he sees benefit in it.
