The ruling on one who swears by other than Allah out of reverence or habit

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
If the one who swears reveres the thing by which he swears?

Answer:
If he believes in it, it is major shirk. If he swears by it believing that it is suitable to be worshipped or called upon, or that it has a secret that it is a close friend of Allah who is called upon besides Allah; this belief makes it major disbelief.
As for if it slips off his tongue without the intention of loving it or revering it in his mind, but he does not believe that it is suitable for worship... or if it slips off his tongue like this out of his old habit; it is minor shirk.
