The ruling on a person leasing out what he does not own

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
I leased a shop in one of the commercial markets, and I stayed in this shop for a year. The income from this shop was good, and one of the people comes to us and says: I will give you, for example, two hundred thousand riyals to take over your place, and the owner of the commercial markets is satisfied?

Answer:
You lease him your shop for the remaining period that is yours, and nothing else; you have no right to more than that. You may lease the remaining period for a little less or more, if his work is like yours or causes less harm, if his business is like yours or causes less harm.
Q: And if the owner of the property is satisfied?
A: Even if he is satisfied, do you lease something you do not own? No, you lease him only the remainder.
