The Shaykh : You go to the bank and look, for example, at this, and this is not according to the system, so you put a check mark on it, and it is 100 percent riba (usury or interest). How is this? No.
It is obligatory, and it is obligatory for us to refrain from it, even if we are ordered to do so. Yes.

The questioner : Fixed, especially certain grades or others. The Shaykh : It is absolutely not permissible under any circumstances. Therefore, I advise the students that if they are ordered to do this, they should refrain, because refraining from disobeying Allah is obedience to Allah. How can you order us to approve riba (usury or interest) when we know it is riba (usury or interest) in the Book of Allah? This is not possible. Yes.

The questioner : Shaykh Muhammad, I do not know if a man owns a tailor shop and put workers in it and dealt with them on a percentage basis, saying: "Every month, the percentage for clothing tailoring between you and me is such and such." He realized that at the end of each month, when he pays them their salaries, he is paying them from his own pocket and losing money on this shop. So he agreed with them that they would pay the shop rent to the property owner and give him a fixed five hundred riyals monthly, with the remaining profits belonging to them. He says: "Work this whole month; if you profit five thousand or one hundred riyals, give me five hundred riyals monthly, and the shop rent is on you." The workers are under his sponsorship, and the shop is in his name with the rent. What is your opinion on this? And what is your opinion if, Shaykh Muhammad, he did this work and they now have money from it, and the workers are agreeing and happy with this?

The Shaykh : I see that this is not permissible, and that it is obligatory for him to give them the wage agreed upon with them at the time of the contract, as they are in their own country. And as I told you just now, he gives them, for example, a certain percentage for every garment, for every garment or every meter, and he is safe from their evil. As for what you mentioned, it is forbidden for him because it involves gharar (excessive uncertainty in a contract) and ignorance, and it is contrary to the state's regulations. As for the money he earned before he knew, Allah says regarding riba (usury or interest):
So whoever has received an admonition from his Lord and desists may have what is past, and his affair rests with Allah. But whoever returns to [dealing in interest or usury] - those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide eternally therein.
[Al-Baqarah 2:275]
.

The questioner : And if he has not yet disposed of the money, it is still...?

The Shaykh : Absolutely, what he did before he knew and then repented is his.

The questioner : Regarding the woman, if a woman is treated by a Christian woman, is that permissible, O Shaykh?
