How to Return to Islam for One Who Has Committed an Invalidator of Islam

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The other part of his question: How does one return to Islam again if he has fallen into one of the invalidators of Islam?

Answer:
Repentance. The door of repentance is open. If he falls into an invalidator, he must return to Islam through repentance. He must feel remorse for the past, resolve not to return to it, and abandon that invalidator. If his disbelief was due to calling upon the dead or seeking aid from the dead and idols, he must abandon that and repent to Allah from it. In this way, he returns to Islam. However, if his disbelief was because he denied the obligation of prayer, he must acknowledge it and say, "No, I was wrong. Prayer is obligatory for those who are accountable." He must repent to Allah from that, feel remorse, abandon it, and resolve not to return to it. Allah will accept his repentance. Or, if he was leaving off prayer and not praying, his repentance is to perform the prayer, feel remorse for the past, seek forgiveness for what has passed, and resolve not to return to it. This is the repentance. Likewise, if his disbelief was because he said, "Zina is lawful," and he repents and says, "No, zina is forbidden, and I repent to Allah and seek Allah's forgiveness. I have made a mistake," and Allah knows from his heart that he is sincere, Allah will accept his repentance. And so on. Yes.
