The sufficiency of the full ritual bath in place of the ablution for prayer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
A letter signed by one of the listening brothers. Al-Ghazali, our brother, says: I work on a farm, and if it happens that I take a bath in the machine’s pool, or I take a bath in the shower, does that suffice in place of the ablution for prayer? Please guide us, may Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
If you arrange it, when you immerse yourself in the water, you arrange it by taking your face out intending thereby the ablution for prayer, then you take out your right arm, then your left arm intending the ablution for prayer, then you take out your head intending the ablution for prayer, then you take out your legs intending the ablution for prayer; then you are on your intention with the arrangement. Otherwise, it does not suffice for you, except if it is for major ritual impurity—the bath for major ritual impurity—or if you intend both states of impurity, you intend the bath for major ritual impurity and you intend the ablution for prayer, then with this bath it suffices according to the correct view, the lesser enters into the greater. Yes.

The presenter: All right, but what if it is for cooling off or for cleanliness?

The Shaykh: It must be arranged.

The presenter: The arrangement is necessary?

The Shaykh: His head first with the intention of the ablution for prayer, then his hands with the intention of the ablution for prayer, then his head with the intention of the ablution for prayer, then his legs with the intention of the ablution for prayer.

The presenter : May Allah bless you, and may Allah reward you with the best reward.
