The ruling on whether ghusl suffices in place of wudu'

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q76: The questioner asks: Does ghusl suffice in place of wudu', or is it better to perform wudu' separately and then perform ghusl?
A76: This is the better course, and it is what the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) did: to perform wudu' and then perform ghusl. If one intends both purifications and pours water over his body with the intention of both wudu' and ghusl, there is nothing wrong with that, and wudu' is included in ghusl, based on his saying (peace and blessings be upon him):
The reward of deeds depends upon the intentions and every person will get the reward according to what he has intended.إنما الأعمال بالنيات، وإنما لكل امرئ ما نوى
